but your Petitioner of 224 Rupees or 30 Rupees per mensem, remained in the service in the hope of obtaining the higher rank of Jemadar which he eventually obtained, and

of becoming entitled upon retirement to the greater pension

of about 40 Rupees per mensem,

Your Petitioner has saved out of his pay sufficient only to provide for the support of himself his wife and family for a short time to come.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays

Your Lordship will be pleased to direct that your Petitioner be permitted to rejoin the service or that a pension
